Monday: MicroBusiness and Marketing Marvels

FROM THE DESK OF MILES EVERSON:

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a good rest and time with your loved ones during the weekend.

As we kickstart a new week, we’ll do something different for the next 10 weeks. Instead of talking about outstanding individuals in marketing and business every Monday, we’ll have a break to focus on health and happiness.

I’ll discuss this in the context of various cultures and traditions across the globe.

Are you ready?

Embark on a Journey to Summer Happiness: A global challenge of cultural wisdom!

With that, I feel like there’s no better time than now to embark on a transformative journey towards happiness.

Over the past few years, I’ve been on a personal journey of understanding and cultivating happiness. One reason for this is that today, we are amid the backdrop of rising depression and loneliness in the modern world.

In fact, according to “What’s The Big Data?” nearly 1 in 4 adults experience loneliness worldwide. In the U.S., around 52% of people say they are lonely, with young adults aged 18 to 24 being the loneliest.

See?

In a society plagued by the pressures of constant connectivity and the pervasive influence of social media, it’s all too easy to lose sight of the simple yet profound sources of joy that lie within cultural wisdom and human connection.

By acknowledging the challenges we face, my hope is that my team and I will be able to offer a beacon of hope through my Summer Happiness Challenge.

This 10-week series is meant to empower you to reclaim agency over your well-being and embark on a journey towards greater fulfillment and resilience. This serves as a timely reminder that amidst the chaos and uncertainty of our times, there are pathways to happiness waiting to be discovered, nurtured, and shared with the world.

I encourage you to join this unique opportunity to explore and implement time-tested tools and methods practiced by diverse cultures around the globe!

Here, I will uncover the secrets to lasting happiness as I draw inspiration from the wisdom I accumulated during my time as a global consultant—where I had the privilege of learning from a myriad of cultural perspectives.

From the serenity of Japanese mindfulness practices to the conviviality of Mediterranean social gatherings, each culture offers its own unique insights and techniques for cultivating joy and fulfillment in life.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to delve into these cultural treasures—learning from local experts, participating in ancient rituals, and incorporating these practices into my own life.

From the art of hygge in Denmark to the concept of ubuntu in South Africa, I’ve discovered that happiness is NOT merely a destination but a journey, shaped by values, traditions, and connections we nurture along the way.

This is why I invite you to join me on this journey of discovery and transformation!

Over the course of the Summer Happiness Challenge, we’ll explore a diverse array of cultural practices and principles, each offering its own unique perspective on the art of living well.

Through guided exercises, reflective prompts, and community engagement, we’ll delve deep into the essence of happiness, uncovering practical tools and actionable strategies that you can incorporate into your daily life.

Whether you’re seeking inner peace, stronger connections with others, or simply a greater sense of fulfillment, this is your opportunity to cultivate joy and meaning in every moment.

Together, let’s draw upon the collective wisdom of cultures around the globe as we embark on a journey towards a happier, more fulfilling life!

So, let me ask you: Are you ready to embrace the Summer Happiness Challenge and unlock the secrets to lasting happiness?

Here are my suggested reading for you:
