In a world full of noise, here’s how you can find inner peace in the palm of your hand…

In a fast-paced and noisy world, you might have experienced receiving bad news after bad news from TV or being distracted by various posts on social media.

You might have also experienced being pressured by many deadlines and don’t know what to do anymore.

With such experiences and the world constantly demanding your attention, it’s easy to feel lost, overwhelmed, and anxious.

So maybe, it’s time for you to take a break.

Enter the world of mindfulness apps

These apps are designed to provide meditation and mindfulness practices wherever you are and whenever you need to.

Through these platforms, you can easily practice mindfulness on your smartphone and personalize your meditation settings according to your health goals. You can also customize your notifications, reminders, and daily check-ins.

Mindfulness’ Impact on Health

Before we dive into a few apps in detail, let’s first understand how mindfulness is beneficial to our health.

According to studies from Positive Psychology, mindfulness practices help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, the National Institutes of Health shows evidence that mindfulness exercises help regulate our sleeping patterns and blood pressure.

Mindfulness also allows us to focus on the present moment and be aware of our emotions and thoughts. Through this, we are able to live a healthier life.

So… now that you know how crucial mindfulness is for your well-being, allow me to share with you three mindfulness apps you can consider using:

Headspace provides guided mindfulness exercises using creative visuals. An example of its features is the Basics course, which teaches essential mindfulness practices for ten sessions. There are also Stress Release workouts and Sleep Mode meditations in the app. You can meditate on topics that are relevant to you, such as dealing with anger.

Moreover, you can track your mindfulness progress in the app, as it has features like checking your total meditation time and monitoring stress levels. You can also invite friends to join you in your wellness journey.

Headspace offers a 14-day free trial, which provides access to all of the app’s content. After the free trial, the app requires a paid subscription that costs USD 6.49 per month or USD 34.99 per year.

Calm is an app that contains various meditation practices, sleep stories, and relaxing sounds via 3 different features.

The Daily Calm provides a wellness topic for you to meditate on every morning. Meanwhile, Scenes allows you to hear relaxing sounds and see images such as sunsets, crickets, and lakes. Lastly, Sleep Stories is a compilation of bedtime narratives as told by celebrities like Harry Styles, Kevin Hart, and LeBron James.

Calm is available in six languages and offers a 7-day free trial. After that, you will be required to pay for a subscription, which costs USD 14.99 per month or USD 69.99 per year. The good thing about this app?

Even when the free trial has already ended, you can still access many features of the app for free.

This app helps you track your mood, access hundreds of meditation sessions, connect with mentors, join workshops, and attend live yoga classes.

One of Insight Timer’s features is the large compilation of mindfulness resources that are available for free even after the trial period.

You have a 7-day free trial, and after that, there will be a monthly subscription fee of USD 9.99 or an annual subscription fee of USD 59.99.

  1. Headspace.

  2. Calm.

  3. Insight Timer.

There you have it—some mindfulness apps that you can consider using. I encourage you to give them a try!

However, it’s okay if you prefer a mindfulness app that’s not mentioned in this article. As long as it helps you become better in your wellness journey, that app is as good as the ones we mentioned here.

I hope you find today’s topic interesting and helpful!

Overall, mindfulness apps are one of the many support systems you can have in this hustle and bustle world. Whenever you feel like you’re always on the go, these apps are here to remind you that it’s okay to pause, breathe, and prioritize your well-being every once in a while.

Remember: In a noisy world, you can still find peace in the palm of your hand.

Have a great Friday!

You might be spending time this January looking over your finances. However, before you move a single penny, there’s something you need to know.

According to my friend and colleague and Chief Investment Strategist of Altimetry Financial Research, Prof. Joel Litman, there is a deep crisis unfolding—one that will decimate the American economy. In 2023, bankruptcies soared to 30%. Subsequently, 600,000 job openings disappeared. An unprecedented number of Americans are defaulting on their auto loans. Meanwhile, home sales continue to fall.

The situation is dire, and it’s about to get worse over the next few years.

The silver lining?

This is a great time to set up ONE particular type of investment!

Right now, your money is at serious risk in the places you likely have it. So, we highly urge you to check out this secure, easy-to-use type of investment. You absolutely need to know this if you want to protect and grow your wealth over the years.
