Have you heard about “mindful eating?” Mindful eating is the practice of paying FULL attention to the experience of eating, including the taste, texture, and smell of the food, as well as your physical and emotional responses to such stimuli. In other words, it's about savoring and enjoying your food, rather than mindlessly snacking or gobbling down your meals. I personally have lots to say about the benefits of mindful eating. For one, this practice can help you tune in to your bodies’ hunger and fullness cues, and lead to more intuitive and healthier eating habits. Aside from that, it enables you to appreciate and enjoy your food more truly, leading to a greater sense of satisfaction and contentment. That’s not all! Mindful eating is not just about the physical benefits but also the emotional and psychological benefits. By becoming more aware of your emotional triggers and habits around food, you can harness a greater sense of self-awareness and control.
