A blogger can make up to USD 41 million a month! How can your marketing campaign utilize this power?

Friday: Collaborate and Innovate

In my years in the business of supporting independent professionals, I’ve witnessed how collaboration and innovation are both important in order for businesses to continue to thrive in the ever-changing business landscape.

One of the ways to succeed and establish your brand’s identity is to team up with bloggers. Whether this means working hand in hand with them or at least get your brand mentioned in one of their blogs.

Why?

It’s because blogs and bloggers can help you improve your SEO and drive more online traffic, which is obviously beneficial to your brand.

Another aspect to take note of is that bloggers and blog posts play a crucial role in networking, as they have a huge following. By enlisting the services of these people or getting featured in one of their articles, you expose your brand to opportunities in the industry.

Keep reading to find out how blogs and bloggers can contribute to spreading awareness about your brand.

I hope you find this week’s social media spotlight interesting as you think of ways to connect your brand with your target audience.

Collaborate and Innovate

The top-paid bloggers in the world make around USD 175,000 to more than USD 41 million…

A MONTH.

Imagine how much they make in a whole year!

Their content ranges from almost anything you can think of—life, politics, gaming, entertainment, marketing, technology, gossip, culture, science, design, etc.

One popular example would be Arianna Huffington.

From her name alone, a lot of online readers would already associate her with the Huffington Post.

She started this in 2005, with content mostly about lifestyle, entertainment, and politics.

Currently, the blog’s estimated visits per month is 131.7 million. On average, it earns at least $41 million dollars monthly.

Millions of dollars a month. The big bucks.

How does Huffington Post earn so much just by blogging?

Sponsored content, advertisements, and banners on her blog

Today, we’re not going to be talking about specific bloggers and how much they earned from doing it. Instead, we’re going to be talking about why they are paid that much for writing quality content.

In the past years, marketing experts have talked about how important blogging is for online marketing success.

Blogs and bloggers are still very relevant today. A lot of brands and businesses have made the most out of its power, using them as an effective online marketing tool.

The most important thing to note is that blogs can rack up SEO rankings.

  • When a company blog or a hired blogger frequently releases fresh and relevant content, SEO is strengthened and the website will be indexed higher by search engines
  • A reputable blog that links to your company or brand website will be a very powerful tool because it signals search engines to tag the website as a credible source
  • The more useful and relevant the content is, the more traffic there will be. It can also reduce the bounce rate of the website being promoted

As an independent professional, you might want to consider creating your own blogs or hiring bloggers to talk about your products or services because:

  • Blogs improve search engine rankings dramatically (on Google, Yahoo, etc.)
  • Blogs are adaptable and can complement other marketing methods in your campaign
  • Credible and established blogs are trustworthy and informative

Bloggers can help businesses engage with their target audience even more. Readers can also be directed to relevant information involving a brand’s product or service. It also allows for more online traffic to the business’ website when readers do an online search.

Blogs can basically create more room for a brand or business to engage with its customers and create a loyal customer base.

It’s also a great way to help a brand with its positioning, and in establishing a voice.

What’s great about using this as another tool for marketing is that you wouldn’t need a huge marketing team to work on it. It could be just one person in charge of it, meaning you wouldn’t need a massive budget to pull this off.

Speaking of budgets, top-paid bloggers don’t really charge like a full-scale marketing team. They also base the rates on what it is you need them to do. These could be as simple as banner ads up to actual blog posts.

Regardless, the budget a company or agency needs for hiring bloggers or creating a blog isn’t that much relative to many other marketing tools.

But of course, the most famous and credible bloggers in the industry earn so much because they are hired multiple times in a month.

Businesses consider blogging in their campaigns because they know that this way of marketing and promoting really works.

The USD 175,000 to more than USD 41 million that the top-paid bloggers in the world make is proof that businesses and agencies are really willing to pay.
